Want to be a Citizen Journalist?

Posted in

I like writing and play an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news online. One reason that I created this blog. Especially if it’s about the breaking political news. One of the contravention news last week was about Gov. Palin. According to the news that I read that her yahoo account was hacked by a college student that is son of a democratic representative in the White House. What an interesting news.

I have no professional training in Journalism but I love to write. To fulfill this desire I may get into citizen journalism wherein I can use the tools of modern technology and the global distribution of the Internet to create, augment or fact-check media on their own or in collaboration with others. Or I could fact-check a newspaper article from the mainstream media and point out factual errors or bias on my blog. Or I might snap a digital photo of a newsworthy event happening in my own town and post it online. There are many ways that you can be journalist even though you are not professionally trained with it. Check out allvoices.com you can register in their site and be a citizen journalist.
