Sunday Services at a Theater

Posted in ,

I grow up in the Philippines as a church goer, Me together with my parents, two brothers and sister usually go to church together every Sunday. My two brothers became an Altar boy during High School and I became a choir member eventhough I don’t have that golden voice. As I grow up this became part of my system. My week will not be complete without visiting the church to worship and thanks God for all the Blessings He provided.

Last January of 2008 I had a chance to attend the Sunday service at a Movie Theater. When small evangelical congregation, moved its Sunday morning worship service from a Herndon elementary school to Multiplex Movie Theater, this increases its visibility by moving to the popular town center. That experienced was fun since it gives church a young, contemporary feeling. We hope that many churches will expand into more movie theaters and other such nontraditional church locations in a coming year.

Find out more the first-ever inaugural Theatre Church Conference in Silver Spring, MD this coming October 22 and 23. Find out more how satisfying to feel His presence and worship Him in a different atmosphere. It’s nice to know that we can now worship GOD not just in the traditional church buildings.
