Loving Baked Caramel Custand

You may try this lovingly baked caramel custard recipe that I had yesterday. You need the following for custard:

4 eggs
¼ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
2 to 2 ½ cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup granulated sugar

You need to preheat oven to 300 degree of F. In a bowl, beat eggs with an electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add sugar and salt. Beat until thick and lemon-colored. Add milk and vanilla, and continue beating until thoroughly combined. In a skillet over medium heat, melt ¼ cup of granulated sugar, stirring constantly until caramel-like syrup forms. Immediately pour into six buttered custard cups. Pour custard through a fine strainer into cups. Set cups in shallow baking pan and place on an oven rack. Fill with hot water to 3/4 from top of cups. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and let cool on rack. Refrigerate until chilled. Unmold. Enjoy eating buddy!
