Have a Good Laugh

Posted in

After reading an article about how laughter can benefit us...I think it would be a good idea to make laughter as part of your workout routine. There are lots of benefits of what we called “LOL”. The short tem benefits are that it stimulates your organs. Laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulating your heart, lungs and muscles. It also activates and relieves your stress response and soothes tension and stomachaches. Aside from the short term benefits of “LOL”, its long term effects are it relieves pain by causing the body to produce its own natural painkillers and it also increases satisfaction.
A good sense of humor won't cure all your ills, but there's growing data on the positive things giggling can do, such as lower stress and improve mood.

“As what the saying goes, laughter is the best kind of medicine”. Berk says. “We have a pharmacy on our shoulders, but we need to figure out how to best utilize it”
